Pipeline/Cable Table Formats

Using the Excel format allows you to easily import a large quantity of data for pipelines and cables, including origin and terminus. Because of the number of columns in these tables, the following examples are presented with multiple breaks.

Pipelines

The required fields – Line ID, Diameter, Pipe Class, and Commodity – are the standard value types of the pipeline list. The remaining columns (excluding Origin and Terminus) are the attributes normally changed in the Pipeline Editor, but saved in the *.rpl process file.

For this example, the attributes have been ordered to match the layout of the Pipeline Editor dialog.

Cables

Electrical cables only require values for the Cable ID and Specification; however, any of the attribute values normally edited in the Cable Editor can be imported in the cable table of the Excel file:
